A New Haven native, I have been an active member of the local arts scene as a teacher, administrator, and artist for over a decade.
My work is intentionally heavy and tactile, aiming to establish a human connection all too often lost in our digital age. The process, medium, and materials are all meaningful components.
The intention behind most of my work is to inspire conversation. Previous work explored the tension between manmade and natural landscapes, positioning manmade objects such as telephone and electrical towers as more natural than nature itself. My most recent body of work focuses specifically on gated communities, drawing parallels to what is happening in our country today.
Though primarily self-taught, I studied printmaking and studio arts at New York University (BA, English), Paier College of Art, and Rhode Island School of Design. My work has found homes in private collections worldwide.
